The quarterly courses
I offer a session of 10 two-hour courses to learn and/or improve your skills in hand-stitched leather work. The famous saddler's stitch.
This training will allow you to discover the tools and techniques specific to hand-stitched leather work. This will cover everything from choosing the leather, to different cutting techniques, to making patterns, including hand-stitching with linen thread and working the edges (finishing).
One Sunday a month
One Sunday a month, I invite you to come and make your custom-made belt from saddlery leather. Sewn with saddle stitch.
You will make your belt from A to Z. Choose the buckle and leather, and learn cutting and sewing techniques.
At the end of the day, you leave with YOUR belt.
MEMO REGARDING QUARTERLY COURSES.
Initially, you will create items from saddlery leather, such as bracelets, dog collars, or belts, and then, in a second phase, we can work on more personal projects.
I will welcome you in small groups of 2 people maximum in a studious but relaxed atmosphere. It seems very important to me that each participant can work at their own pace.
The classes will take place on Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (over a quarter) at the workshop-boutique located at 68 rue Brancion 75015 Paris. (Excluding school holidays).
The price for the 20-hour session will be 800 euros including tax.
The price includes the provision of raw materials, tools, and basic blacksmithing equipment. (For personal projects, an additional cost may apply depending on the project; a quote will be provided beforehand).
You will be using sharp metal tools and needles, so I ask you to check the validity of your tetanus vaccine.
The COVID standards put in place by the government must be respected throughout the duration of the courses.
